The idea for the octagon shaped table top, complete with framed mirror, is derived from the Chinese “Bagua Mirror.” Such a mirror is traditionally displayed at the entry of a home with the intent of protecting a home from bad luck, sorrow, illness and a myriad of other negative influences. The base is a pedestal style, with four, symmetrical legs bound together and accented with wenge.
